Description
Another piece I made up to work on my heads, besides heat pits I really tried to work on the general shape. This guy found his home quite quickly so I hope to have more up really soon. Made from Super sculpey and painted with acrylic.I am OPEN for commissions so feel free to message me with any questions you might have regarding prices, products etc.

I saw one today actually, my boyfriend works at a reptile shop, which is pretty awesome.
They are stunning! The colors are crazy to see on an animal. The way they curl on a branch is just cute when you think about how agresive they are.
I would love one but my mother has banned snakes in the house! (I have a lot of pets, including a gecko and a tarantula). Also they are out of my price range! They are aggressive so you can't hold them, sadly. A big one came up to the glass to me, it was pretty awesome. It flicked its little black tongue at me!

And not to be negative or anything (and I hope this isn't untoward) but maybe put a slight coating on the next snake if you do one? Also oh man them shimmery clays (I own many but puss out of using them a lot).

Thank you very much! And I do actually seal my pieces with a gloss type finish, this piece lacks it in this photo set as I was worried about losing the spots in some of the glare. I do have another GTP I did up that is glazed in the photoset that I will probably post in the next couple of day, I would love your thoughts on it as well as how the glaze looks on it if thats okay!

I would have to say that this is exceptionally well done.
It's really difficult to capture animal poses in clay at a smaller scale- you don't actually provide dimensions but I'm assuming that this is probably around 3 or 4 cm or smaller based on the parts of the chain which I can see in the photographs.
Having handled these snakes before I also have to say that you really nailed the coloration as well as you did the pose so it's really a great sculpt.

Thank you very much Realitysquared, I used a lot of photo references and i'm glad that came across. I've never had the pleasure of seeing a GTP in person but someday I hope to. The piece itself was close to 2 - 2 1/2 inches wide I believe, its been sold so I cannot get the exact measurements
