I actually used a light purple fill layer set to colour dodge It was about at 40% opacity. I merged layers, then adjusted exposure, shadows/highlights, and brightness/contrast. I think I also used 'selective colour' to tweak the colouring at the end.

We have more now than when I took that shot.... there about 3 feet on the ground right now.
