It was dark, and I was tripping over the edge of my skirt. I didn't know where I was, or how I'd gotten here, but Mr. Austria would be angry if I didn't get home by morning.

He's so scary when he's angry.

I wish Holy Rome was still here, to tell me,

"It's okay, Italy... You know he won't hurt you, you're a good girl."

I never ever really cared that he thought I was a girl our whole time together. Either way, I'm still stuck here. It's so scary, being out here, all alone! I'm just a little kid, I can't fight!

Suddenly, though, I walked into a place the was lit with a weird gray light. Suddenly though, I saw him... Holy Roman Empire, the one Miss Hungary told me wasn't coming back!

Scary voices suddenly started chanting,

I shivered in fear, still staring at Holy Rome. He looked fine, but his eyes were all shadowed by his hair. I held a hand out to him, saying,

"Holy Rome... come here... where are we?'

Instead of answering me, he started chanting along with the voices. There were many others I didn't recognize. One had a strange accent, like Mr. Prussia, but the voice was much deeper. This one sang along the same tune as Holy Rome.

I kept shaking, probably looking like a sick puppy-dog.

"Italy... Wake up, silly!"

I opened my eyes, and looked up at Miss Hungary. Then, remembering my dream, I started to cry. She hugged me close, gently shushing me, comforting me.

"Shh... Italy, what happened?"

"I-I had a bad dream... it had Holy Rome, and scary people singing, and I couldn't find home, and it was so scary!"

I wasn't even sure the Hungarian servant could understand me at this point. I wasn't even trying to control my accent.

"Shush... it's okay, it was just a dream, Italy..."

Sure... just a dream, right?

"Boku... Italia."
