A Water themed trainer with Electric types? Interesting...it'd certainly subvert the whole "Hey let's wreck the gym with just an Electric or Grass type!" thing. Haha, nope! (Especially since most of them can learn Signal Beam, which Grass types are weak to. Or Foggy could just use Lanturn, it's got Volt Absorb, and it's a Water type!) And if you try using Ground types to deal with the Electric types...in a Water gym...just think about how well THAT would go.
I like the idea because it would force players to use coverage moves, instead of choosing a Pokemon purely based on type advantage and hoping to curbstomp the whole gym. If they kept doing that, they'd keep losing (unless they just level grind to have a massive level advantage, but by that point they wouldn't learn a thing, and it would cost them fun in the process).
Also, just curious as to why the Electrodes would be "very big"?
