what else are people suppose to take away from that comment besides you trying to guilt trip the artist into making free art for you? Thats all a comment like that, directly to the artist, would be seen as.

Getting commissions help the artist support herself. Please be mindful of this in the future when talking to other artists, as some might take more issue with a comment like that then others.
