Thanks! It does. It's diet is not completely comprised of bees, as it eats many insects, but predominantly those of the order Hymenoptera, which are the bees, wasps, and ants.

I imagine it swallows them in a way that it doesn't hurt itself and the poison may not really be enough at all to do any damage to the bird's stomach. I do seem to remember that some predators squeeze poison out of insects they eat.
