So, since I remember, my parents make me distant from most of the house chores. First, because I was too young, so I could get hurt easily. And second, because since we started to have houseworkers, they needed to do all chores, no other people.Suddenly, when I started college, my parents started to tell me things about how useless I'm. And it became worst, when I left college. And even worst! When I was in a relation with a guy who knows how to cook, and was studying culinary arts, my parents always compared with him. -sigh- Some on the things I remember they shout at me where the same at the drawing.
This last year I felt I little better, I don't haveany job (stupid practices! I can't get anything, fml) but I'm trying to help in kitchen. Today I did french fries. I tried a couple of times before, but I get so scared about fire, and oil, that I called for help to my little brother (who cooks the best in home, he has a very awesome talent on that). I'm proud of me dat today I could cook edible french fries, lmao. But as always, I forgot put salt. I don't eat salt, I like tasteless food, so, dat's why I always forgot, RIP.
Just an advice.
I'm not a mother, and I really don't want to be. But, for those who in future want to be, or maybe are already, LET YOUR CHILDREN DO STUFF, the more they do, they will learn how to live without fear. LET THEM MAKE MISTAKES. Because they will learn from them.
Or you will have a silent child, who can't say a thing, who will have fear of every single shit that comes with life. Like me, and you will not be hurt, but your children will. Let's make this world better, pleah. :v

Igualito lo que me paso a mi, aunque yo intentaba de strangis cocinar...(y me salian aliens en la comida) asi que lo mio es nulo talento a la hora de la cocina xDD, por lo menos a ti te salieron patatas fritas! I wanted to cook without permission, specially when i was a teenager, but the house workers never left me enter to kitchen, because my parents told them to keep me and my little brother out, the workers needed to obey this order, or they will be in problems ._.Uu and I didnt want to see them in troubles cuz of my fault >_>Uu

Where I live, is a country where sexism is still a very big problem on society, I totally understand why my parents use dat kind of words to me. They grow and lived in a very poor small towns, and they came from another generation. I always try to talk to them about how bad is that kind of stuff seen on this era, is the best I can do. But Ill never try to make them change mind in days, they used to lived another reality, as I said, understandable to me.
The thing I don't get was that they let me grow up without experimenting needed activities for life, and then they demand to me be a magician to make them.

Oh gawd Cuti the feels I totally agree with you, it's way better to let children try stuff, that's how we learn in life anyway. But heh ... For me a woman don't have to be good at cooking, like at home my father do all the cooking and my mother only make cakes and help him x)
And I'm not really really good at cooking, but if you want I can teach you every things I know! >w< Like how to make roses out of apples And other cute things! (I might have problems with cute things .-.)

Well, my parents grow up in a totally different culture from the things that now are considered good and ethic, I can't blame they for sexism stuff. The only thing I complain is that they demand stuff to me stuff I didnt learnt
