Do you think you coul dhelp me? I went to the official site to download his CV to convert it however the hiragana shows up REALLY MESSED UP. I'm not sure what the problem is considering Sukone Tei's hiragana shows up perfectly fine.

That's really strange! Would it be possible for you to give me a screen shot of the hiragana?

This keeps happening to me with every utau I've gotten BUT Tei! If you don't mind I'll screen shot Tei's vb too to give an example.

I dunno. I just started converting voicebanks to romaji since I couldn't find ones readily available.

Cutie I'm a huge fan and have a question yo ask you.
It's kind of complicated so I'll sum my problem up.
When I load Utau and change voicebanks some of them don't work. They won't sing at all in kanji or romaji and a n00b like me dosen't know what to do because of course the ones that I want to use in a project won't sing >.>
This is the list of Utaus that won't work:
Ritsu Namine VCV
Ritsu Namine Kire
Teto Kasane Sakebi
Miko Ooka VCV
Ruko Yokune (Male) VCV
Tomi Samura VCV
Matsuda Ppoine
Ron Keine
and more that I don't know in english
I looked all over the web and asked numurous people, tried different things, but still can't fix this....

Hello ~Meleena-Chan ! Thanks for messaging me.
When you try to make the UTAUs sing, how are you typing out the notes? I noticed that many of the voicebanks you are trying to use are VCV voicebanks, which have a special method for note input!

First I tried romaji, then kanji, and they didn't work so I kind of gave up. Like I said before I'm a n00b at Utau

Yes, I understand, but in the notes- are they written, for example, as "a"/"あ"?

Meleena-Chan In reply to CutiepieSpecter [2013-04-16 22:39:33 +0000 UTC]
First I wrote "a", when that didn't work I tried "あ" and it didn't work either :/

CutiepieSpecter In reply to Meleena-Chan [2013-04-17 20:26:57 +0000 UTC]
ah! You see, VCV voicebanks have a special way to input notes. Notes are written with a format like "a a". For example, to make a VCV UTAU sing the word "arigato", you would write out the notes like this: "- a", "a ri", "i ga", "a to". OR, if it's in Hiragana, it'd be written like "- あ", "a り", "i が", "a と". It's a little confusing at first. -w- Make sure that when you download USTs, they are VCV USTs! The kind of USTs you are using are for CV voicebanks, not VCV. :3
I hope that helps!

CutiepieSpecter In reply to JenniKittyMuffin [2013-08-05 21:20:51 +0000 UTC]
Hi! Don't worry about it.
There are various types of voicebanks. The voicebank you're referring to is called a CV (consonant-vowel) voicebank. This voicebank you've downloaded is a more advanced voicebank, called VCV (vowel-consonant-vowel). Basically, the difference between the two is CV voicebanks transition on the consonants, giving a very rough, robotic sound. VCV voicebanks transition on the vowels, giving them a much more natural, human-like sound.

Oh ok XD thanks! Is there a CV voicebanl of Ritsu converted to romaji too? If not, how do you use a VCV voicebank?

CutiepieSpecter In reply to JenniKittyMuffin [2013-08-06 02:45:43 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure there is a romaji-converted CV Ritsu bank, but I have no clue where it might be.xD
To use a VCV voicebank, it's actually quite easy. Any note that starts a melody in the song will be written like:
"- "
(with the "" being replaced with the first syllable sung in the song.)
The following notes will then be written like:
" "
This may sound quite confusing, so here's an example. Say you want the VCV voicebank to sing "arigato", you would type out the notes as following:
"- a" "a ri" "i ga" "a to"
(The quotation marks are just to show you what would be written in each note.)
And yes, you DO need the space between the sounds. "-a" "ari" "iga" "ato" will NOT work. Also, you only use the "-" on a note after a rest. All other notes should start with the vowel of the sound before it.
I recommend downloading some VCV USTs to look at. Like I said, it's not hard to use, but it IS one of those things that is hard to explain.xD

CutiepieSpecter In reply to mikufan1991 [2013-05-29 03:42:14 +0000 UTC]
This is a VCV voicebank. In order to make him say "a", you need to type "- a" in the note. For example, the word "arigato" would be four notes, written like "- a", "a ri", "i ga", "a to".

mikufan1991 In reply to CutiepieSpecter [2013-05-29 23:02:30 +0000 UTC]
I typed it with quotations, so it says, "- a" but there isn't any sound.
