Thank you so much ^Helewidis for the DD on my birthday.
I appreciate everyone's comments and favs. It means a lot to me. update:This is a bit darker than the second one with a different toning from the first. Let me know which you preferred. First, second, or third edit.

To be honest, I think this is one of the best photos I have done. It explains so much. I only really wanted my hand in focus. Interpret what you want. But sadly, a lot of the darkened marks on my legs are scars and bruises.

How could you have such courage to give so much away? Your body is twisted and bruised. Your hand reaching out seems more naked than your breasts.
You don't want help. You just want someone with you, holding you, kissing your bruises. Not telling you everything is going to be all right because you know it isn't ever going to be all right again.
I see disinterest in your eyes. Not so much in what is to come, but in the rituals you have to go through to get what you want.

It's not that you presume too much...it's that you absolutely just saw everything in the photo that I was expressing.
"your hand reaching out seems more naked than your breasts." That...is the absolute truth of what I wanted to be expressed here. While I am naked...I didn't want that to be the main point of the photo. It was that I am naked, have no control, twisted, confused, and want someone or maybe a certain person to reach my hand and ignore the fact that I am just a girl with a figure to be looked at. This photo is one of my most personal photos. It is old now, 3 years old...but it still holds a good meaning. I am glad that you saw more than just a naked chick laying in the bed. I really think you actually saw more, and understood the photo. Thank you.

I am a man with much experience in being twisted and scared.
I saw the naked chick on the bed as a person. To have wanted to fuck you at that moment would be like someone coming up on a car wreck and trying to have sex with one of the victims. It would have been a kind of necrophilia. Is it any better to have sex with a person who is dead inside?
But the last thing I saw was what this person will look like when she's whole again.
I think she'll clean up nicely.

The fact is...I was dead inside, I am no longer.
I felt naked out reaching for the one I thought I loved.
The one who hurt me in more ways than one.
The one who let my hand go.
I felt bruised and tattered. Torn and washed away.
I felt twisted and turned. Used and abused.
I wasn't sure I was strong. I was looking for strength, looking for courage, looking for help, wanting his help. Wanting his love. Wanting something.
This was one of my most emotional photographs, and most of my most personal pictures...I have a description. A criptic one...but one there...this one I left blank. Because no words could express what I felt. The photo said everything I ever felt. and I was happy with how it turned out.
It's been 3 years since I took this photo. Things have changed. But it will always be a personal favorite.

I love the drama in this picture. The out of focus body makes it even more interesting. The only thing you might want to adjust is have a little less contrast and make it slightly darker in stead.

I love the foreshortening. This is a really intense short. Wonderful use of black and white, it's very emotional.

By layers I mean there is depht in the photo which derives from the two "layers" - the sharp, bright hand closest to the viewer, and blurred body behind the hand. The photo looks three-dimensional. I don't know if the word "layer" is the best word to describe it, but anyway. I hope I made any sense..
