So who is going to watch you die?I forget how to express my feelings with a pen and paper. I sometimes forget how to express my feelings with a photograph. My thoughts are scattered. My heart hurts. Sometimes I forget to breathe. And then I realize the only person that can hold me the most is myself.
the grain is intentional.

the photo itsself was grainy because I didn't use a flash. And then I realized that the grain is actually what was making me like the photo. So I added a little more grain.

... and let's face it, none of like using a flash unless we really have to. It'd be nice to try an emulate the same shot on film, say a 400, and see how much they differ. Regardless, I love it.

I think Daniel already nailed that one. It make the image really appear as if it was a tangible moment in time... small parts lost but the whole remains to a large extent. In doing so it ages and authenticates the scene and traps it; not in a clinical manner but one which seems to have been driven by purpose and emotion at the time. It wouldn't work with every shot... and of course there's the benefit (for me at least) of it appearing to be a product of film... which is always wonderful.
I'm no writer, and that's the best I can do. Hope that helps.

No one will watch me when I die and I totally agree with your conclusion. The one that has to hold me is myself. Great composition!
