Although these guys already look amazing I think using black glass beads as eyes would really bring them to life.

I totally agree, however, I have yet to find a good way to secure them to the wool. I am afraid they would pop off.
Thanks

What I do is felt a depression for the sockets that is deep enough to hide the holes and thread and also felt a depression at the back of the neck. I then sew them in with a thick thread and pull them tight and tie the knot in the depression at the back. If they're especially tight I'll dab the knot with glue. Then trim the thread right down and felt some wool over the top to hide the knot. It works rather well but I have to experiment with it to get it right.

It's best to use beading needles and a strong nylon thread. These needles slip through the dense wool well and are cheap and flexible. I've bent a couple but they can be rather useful bent as well.

I would like to say that of all the submissions that pass through the needle-felting group yours are the only ones I really view. They really are brilliant.

I have tried sewing eyes on a few of my projects, they turned out nice, however I am still practicing with it. I just think the dwarf hammies are to small for them. Each hammie is only a few inches in length.

You are too kind thanks!

I'm sure if you keep working with it you'll get it eventually. Keep up the good work!
