Description This little guy took all day to make, he is 100% wool. I am fairly pleased with how he turned out, I would have liked to give him toes though.

You could give him the appearance of toes with black thread stitching through.

What immediately striked me about this one is how prominent those ''marking''-, ''line-'' or ''wrinkle''-thingies above the eyes are. Typically mustelid, and it makes this sculpture extra anatomy-aware. I don't know what to call those, but they tend to enlarge the strict and alert look. I like emphasizing on them when doing expressions- it's very effective.

Fellow needle felter here!

Your weasel is what inspired me to try my own! I cant get over how amazing yours is, its perfect! I wanted to do the toes like yours but I could not figure it out... So mine is stuck with nub feet lol

I love the winter phase ermine best, and I think I made that "line" above the eye a bit too dark, but it was felted too deep into the wool for me to fix it.

I still think it's awesome that you were aware of those ''lines''-they just add so much, and it's not a common detail in mustelid-related art.
Hope you'll understand how to do realism better with time and practice. I'm currently doing a stoat for another art trade, and I'm making a documentation of the process. The best way I can explain it is on the practical aspect- realism comes with more practice, understanding and study. One way to do paws is to felt four slightly broad (and relatively flat) ''slippers'' for feet, and cut with a pair of scissors to make the toes. You'll perhaps have to stab them a little afterwards to trim them. I use a coloured pencil to line between the toes- it adds colour and helps making them more prominent. Mustelids have 5 digits on each paw.

Keep up the work- and thank you for the praise!
