A long time ago, there was a young boy named Anakin Skywalker, who lived with his mother Shimi on Tatooine in slavery. His life changed when he met Qui Gon Jinn and his Jedi apprentice Obi Wan Kenobi amidst the Naboo crisis, after emerging victorious in the Boonta Eve Podrace, Anakin earned his slavery and traveled to Coruscaunt to be a Jedi despite being too old.
Eventually, Anakin did become a Jedi after Qui Gon fell to a Sith Lord on Naboo. For the next decade, Anakin trained under the wing of Obi-Wan as his Padawan even while he caught the eye of Darth Sidious aka Emperor Palpatine. When he was nineteen, the former slave reunited with his old friend Padme and was assigned to protect her from assassins. But while on his mission, Anakin and Padme fell in love.
With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Anakin found himself on the front lines, fighting the droid armies of the former Jedi known as Count Dooku. During the course of the war, he was tested and became a Jedi Knight. At the end of the war, Padme became pregnant and Anakin started having nightmares about her death. Desperate to save her, Anakin turned to Chancellor Palpatine, who revealed his Sith identity.

Taking up the mantle of Darth Vader, the newly-appointed Sith Lord raided the Jedi Temple with the 501st and killed almost every last Jedi while the clone legions across the galaxy executed their Jedi generals. Before long, Vader did battle with his old master Obi-Wan on Mustafar. After a lengthy duel, Vader lost and was left to die, dismembered and badly burned until his master arrived.
Vader returned to Coruscant and was given cybernetics and a suit of armor to help him live and breathe, with his wife and son dead, Anakin finally became the dreaded Darth Vader. For the next two decades, Vader served the Empire, striking fear into allies and enemies alike as he hunted down rebel cells and Jedi survivors of Order 66.
Darth Vader was a nightmare to behold, his breathing terrified many and those who served under him feared the wrath of Vader. Decades after the empire rose, the Galactic Civil War began and Vader was dispatched to fight the growing Rebellion. Things began changing when he encountered Luke Skywalker and learned that his wife had given birth to his son before she died, giving Vader a new purpose.

Vader lured Luke into a trap on Cloud City a few years after the Battle of Yavin and revealed that he was his father, terrifying the young Jedi in training beyond belief. When Vader offered for Luke to join him, Luke retreated with his life. One year later, aboard the Second Death Star, Vader and Luke dueled again before Darth Sidious and, thanks to Luke's love, Vader became Anakin again.
As an enraged Sidious attacked his son, Vader threw the Sith Lord down the reactor shaft to his death, but was gravely weakened by Sidious' lightning in the process. As Luke removed Vader's mask, Anakin looked at his son with his own eyes before finally dying, free from the Dark Side after years of serving the Empire. May Darth Vader's legacy shine in the light...
