Description
Two years after Sonic's debut in gaming, DIC Animation, licensed by SEGA, produced ADVENTURES OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, which offered a goofy twist on the game universe (set in a different continuity) and featured a different version of Doctor Eggman aka Doctor Ivo Robotnik.
The show ran for sixty-six episodes with the first 65 airing in 1993 before one more episode aired in 1996 during Christmas. Decades later, the show has inspired many memes and is remembered by the fandom... while the licensor, SEGA, has distanced itself from the show and its material per a policy to not acknowledge prior projects that are done.

AoSTH Robotnik approaches SEGA's headquarters, wanting a job, only for a hand to emerge and halt him while a voice tells him that he is not allowed at this time. Robotnik declares that while SEGA has forgotten him, the world has not. And we hoped Sonic Prime would take advantage of the multi-dimensional premise & SEGA would ease up on their rules, allowing the likes of AoSTH Robotnik (voiced by someone else) to pop up in the screwy world of the Shatterverse.
