Pencil, pen and ink Fantasy illustration of Philippines Cosplay princess Monique Dimanlig. Reference for this portrait was a picture by Philippines photographer Kira Hokuten.It's wonderful to get inspiration for artwork from such talented individuals like Monique and Kira. Both are members of the D-art community, and active in Philippines Cosplay, which has in recent years, begun to rival that of Japan, the birthplace of Cosplay. With creative and inspiring Cosplay artists like Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao and Monique from Philippines, Jessica Ishii from Brazil, Indoniesia's Pinky Lux Un and Orochi, and of course Japan's Arisa Mizuhara, Kipi and Saya, the World of Cosplay has a promising future. I hope many fans will support their efforts.

its very awesomely done! and very pretty- i also love that you mixed mediums to do this! i've thought about doing that occasionally since i love working in both ink and pencil and one medium can do things the other cannot. This is proof that i should try it

Thank you. That's so nice to hear abut the sparkles, since the heavy black background was done with a razor point hard tip pen. Very tedious and time-consuming, but personally I like the effect or result.
As artists, we must 'suffer' for our art. Let's do so together. 'Aja' (Fighting)! Never give up.

Always good when lots of effort pays off. Right now I'm working on a little 5x7 of my niece. To make it extra difficult I'm doing it in color - and ALL DOTS! It's taken me over a week, so I'm hoping it's worth the effort. Fun feel to it though, and I like trying new things

Thank you. It's so great to finsh a piece like this, but I always feel as if all my spiritual enery is completely drained. Often it takes me at least 24 to 48 hours before I can begin another illustration.
