Description If you're the type of person who stresses when your work isn't absolutely perfect, I really recommend trying this.

I challenged myself to see what I could do in the space of fifteen minutes. I've found a brush I quite like, but I need to learn how to control it. I've been stressing a lot over how to make my work look painterly yet neat, and it was getting too much. So, I decided to challenge myself in this way so that I could focus on the essentials, not the silly things. Gosh, I only started doing this a few days ago. I need to pace myself and stop stressing over things. I just want to experiment.

It often feels like I should be good at this already because I've been drawing so long, but on the other hand what I've been drawing is Disney style and completely different to this. I dunno, I'm just getting a bit flustered. Practice, practice, practice! I might do more of these speed challenges because it takes the pressure off, in a weird way. Like, it's allowed to be sloppy because it was quick? I just like it I guess. Sorry, ranting.

TL;DR: quick painting = no pressure = happy Quill.

Another thing I must give a go, I also tend to focus too much on details and get stressed, it surely can take off the joy of drawing ;_;

Yaaaas definitely try it! I find that perfectionism makes drawing a chore rather than a pleasure, whereas this is so free and lovely :3 do let me know if you have a go!

Eeee thank you! I would recommend it for sure, because it forces you to let go of that perfectionism and just get on with the main shapes/shadows/anatomy. Let me know if you have a go!
