"Your next challenge is to design a party outfit for your model for P.Diddy's White Party in the Hamptons! (everything your model wears must be white from head to toe! Including the accessories!) The outfit you design must be inspired by your model's nationality. This is to test your styling and innovation...you're all using one color, so make sure to stand out!"

Since Willemina is of English descent I got inspiration from the boned corsets of the 1800's England and Scottish luxury cloths.. updated of course. Little less of the frills and more on the minimal and chic. I used traditional Harris tweed for everything.

The corset top pencil cut dress is slashed very far up on one side. (It's for a party!)

Two lines of off-white raw leather strips run down the front and back of the dress which also serves as the straps. (The corsets back then used lots of leather bindings. Real, minimally treated leather discolours a little.) The part of the leather that goes over the shoulders are lined with white velvet underneath. The little ruffle at the top of the dress is made of chiffon.

Willemina is also wearing an antique velvet cameo choker neck piece and is holding a wristbag and wearing pumps both made of the same Harris tweed as the dress.
