this is a picture of people vomiting.on top of all my depression/life problems, i've been having dreams about everyone around me vomiting..
i have an extreme irrational fear of throwing up.
i've had it since i was 8.
drawing this gave me the shakes.
but i felt better after i drew it.
this was kind of... a release, in a way.

<3 it was a pretty huge deal to draw it. i'm happy to say i've come a long way since this picture. not nearly as far as i'd like, i still have the phobia. but, i can do things i never could now. so. haha c:

I have extreme emetophobia too and this scared the shit out of me when I saw it in your gallery
and I worked up the courage to look at it
I can't even say the word but I looked at a drawing of it!!

it's taken me so long to get to where i am with my phobia...i still have panic attacks when i feel sick. and i'm still afraid to say the word sometimes. i'm sorry my drawing scared you. for the longest time, i had a mature filter over it, so i didn't have to look at it in my own gallery. but kudos to you for having the courage to look at it! wooh!

goodness, do i know the feeling.
for the longest time, i thought there was no one else who was as scared as me. for years i never talked about it or understood it. i felt like a freak because i couldn't explain it to people...
i still tend to not talk about it because a lot of the time, people don't understand, or think i'm not very serious. it sucks.
but. it's great to be reminded every once in a while that i'm not alone here ;-;

I've told a couple of friends and they make fake vomit noises and I just want to cry and I never told anyone after that until recently
no one likes to take me seriously about it either. because its not as common of a thing to be scared of :c A fear is a fear, it doesnt matter what it is, you know?

people can be insensitive. but. i think it's hard to understand a phobia, unless you have one.
i read that emetophobia can be really similar to post traumatic stress disorder. i wish more people knew how serious it can be...and understand that, though phobias are irrational fears, they're just as fucking scary.

When I was 8 I just had a really bad night and threw up alot. I would even had dreams of people throwing up! DX I SO RELATE TO THIS ANY U !!!!

i was seriously scared of vomiting before. but since summer, i've stopped to fear things, because every thing that happens, good or bad, gives me some memories and teaches me something.
(so i can show off how cool i am later. kidding.

I hate to be another to comment just like this, but I have the exact same thing. I haven't thrown up since I've been diagnosed with anxiety and panic attacks 8 years ago. Every night I dream about puking. I had really bad anxiety yesterday because my stomach was really upset.
Your whole gallery is beautiful and I really appreciate your bravery.

it really sucks.
i deal with the same thing, almost on a nightly basis. i know you don't know me at all.. but if your stomach is ever upset and you need a distraction of sorts, you can come note me~ hope that's not weird of me to offer. but it usually helps me to talk to someone when i'm panicking. and it's usually even better if that someone is someone that understands what i'm going through. so, i want to offer that to you.
just throwing that out there.

I've had that same phobia for as long as I can remember. I didn't think it was very common!

i was so surprised when i found out is was an actual phobia...i had no clue anyone else had it. so i was pretty relieved to find out it was so common.

Okay i find this revolting, it makes me gag seeing this especially the one on it's side. But i love it so much. The boy is beautifully drawn, and so is the vomit DX Eughhh that sounds bizarre. I have the same thing with people being sick, it freaks me out. I get paranoid that they're doing it on purpose and that they'll die, and that i'm next and i'n gunna be sick and never stop. Last time someone was sick i ran away from them and started feeling ill, clutching my stomach terrified i would be sick. This is really amazing <3 Great job
