The final result of the carving project!
Please read here for more information: [link] The fox design that was used to have this statue created belongs to the talented *VengefulSpirits The carving is made of genuine blue amazonite. This is a natural stone mineral that has a beautiful azure blue or more reddish color and can be opaque or a slightly translucent.
I am so happy with the final product!
Although not exactly the same (should be expected) I think the carvers did a very nifty job! Especially considering this is all done with tools that are hard enough to carve diamond. And that's no easy task.(c) Note that I did NOT make this picture, but I have permission from the supervisor to show them. The pictures rightfully belong to istonescn company, who also carved this statue

Yeah, unfortunately such statues aren't made until you personally request for it yourself

This carving costs me a hefty $350 but that's also because it's custom made, relatively big and created out of AAA grade mineral. The price depends on the dimension mostly.

I couldn't believe it either
I found the company on a retail and wholesale website. The istonescn company is located in China (though they speak perfectly english) so they can easily get their materials for a good price. They are specialized in carving animal statues and skulls.
Each of the pieces they create and sell is hand-carved and unique, not mass manufactured so I guess they don't really have a argument not to accept my inquiry. The supervisor was really excited to realize my little project and told me I was free to inquiry more designs any time I want. Hmm thinking about a fitting nekomata piece sometime lol. All they require are some good sketches or reference pictures.

Ja, ik vind de kleur geweldig! Vooral omdat Amazoniet vaak een mix van kleuren is ipv egaal blauw
