I noticed the flying only zooming in It's admirable the representation of them and the two figures (women?) coming from the trees, they're so simple, just lightΒ silhouettes against the colored background, but I can tell with no dout what they're doing. They're also so plenty of life, it's incredible how simple they are and how alive they feel.

Again, watercolors or acylics? or maybe gouache?

The colors make a beautiful match, and the vibrant green makes the tree looks so imponent. I wish I knew to make landscapes like your, they're always splendid

D'awww thank you! It's acrylics on paper and the colours are vibrant thanks to the acrylic's colours, not a well thought-out plan, actually.

The picture roots from end of July; my former "little Boss", from my previous job with whom I have a friendship, invited us for the last weekend of July to Balatonlelle, he had a summer job there on the weekends. We got free lodging and free food and it's beautiful there... only neither of us are people for public bathing so we took on both days long walks.
On the first day we encountereed a huge tree, it was so impressive and beautiful we even phototed it.
So, we kinda sorta agreed with my sis that this is us on the pic, and it kind of i a memento of that common adventure. Β

You're welcome ^^

I thought I liked the storm one more, but I changed idea: I have a passion for sky, however the peace from this scene is palpable, an made me appreciate it more.

Why not well thought-out? the paint didn't fix well on the paper, maybe?

Oh what a beautiful story it has! It's nice, it adds depth to the picture, even if just for you two, but it's still enough to give it an heart. And as you said, it will remind you forever of that summer days. I like this a lot

Awww

By not well thought-out I only meant that the picture just kind of "happened". Didn't think much about the brush strokes - just brushed away, heh.

Well, one first starts off with the background, gives a basic colour otin the case of blow trees, big blotches of colour. (you can have a light sketch beforehand, but really just very basic is enough, like only one side of trees.) Then blig blotches of base for the foreground. Then brushes of lighter colour that give meaning to the shapes . In the very end, details - a darker blue for the branches in the background (mind these branches were not thought out, just some quck lines there) and light coloured details in the foreground - the people.

And one also may use the fingers to smudge and a towel to take back wrong turns - this latter has to be done quickly, but with acrylics, you canpaint later on top of the previous layer.

If you want the previous colour to appear from beyond the new colour you simply water down the new colour.

I don't know what else to add.

It's a perfect explanation, now I only have to practice to prove its correctness. And acrylics, of course XD

Congrats for the third place, btw, I just noticed the edit description!
