Yes, I did take some inspiration from Catwoman's main costume in Injustice GAU with the powerful exoskeleton and claws on her arms and her feet, and the whip hanging down from her back like a cat's tail, though the whip hanging down her waist has been used prior to that, for example in the cartoon "The Batman".

With that said, I probably love the idea of Catwoman's design in Injustice GAU more than the actual result. I find it a bit too steampunk, which doesn't fit Catwoman's character or the general style of the game. I mean, if the game in general would have been a steampunk game, and the other characters had steampunk designs as well, then it would fit right in and would look awesome.

I guess my goal with this redesign was to incorporate those cool details from her Injustice GAU design (the exoskeleton, the powerful claws on her feet, the whip-tail, the backpack, the high-tech goggles), but making her look more stylish, dark and modern.

WOW! So, I agree that her desigh doesn't fit the general style of the game, but I think that they'd like to underline characters, they wanted to give to characters something unique as a unusual desigh.
I think that you have achieved your goal and this art is awesome!

I definitely understand the desire to give characters an unique and fresh design, and I'm all for it, but sometimes the result isn't as good as the idea of the design. I really like her default costume in Injustice GAU, but I don't agree with some of the details in the costume. All the brown leather and the chunky metal parts give her a decadent steampunk/post-apocalyptic feeling.

But hey! We all have different taste and opinions, so you are allowed to disagree with me

Of course people's opinions and taste are different. And I understand what do you mean and I don't agree with some details and elements in character desigh ,too ..but....but  we can change them in our art or imagination and it's awesome
