Random Kasumi on top bc a certain someone said she'd be a gryffindor! Wanted something lineless, then some ravenclaw!Mariko.

Mariko would be your keytoken Ravenclaw, albeit probably unfriendlier than most... born to a witch mother and muggle father. Her mother works at the ministry of magic while her father juggles an engineer job as well as taking care of the children (that is, when they are not attending school at hogwarts, so...)
She'd be most inclined to stick to her own house, with the exception of a very few. One of them being Kasumi, whom she has known prior to attending Hogwarts. The disappointment was huge to see her getting sorted into Gryffindor, and thus being separated from another. Later on, she'd be aggravated to see the same happen to her little brother.
Starting out with seeing her mother as a role-model and wanting to score just as high as her, that determination soon took a turn for the worse, letting it become Mariko's biggest goal to beat her mother's achievements.
Thus she excels in most subjects, aiming for perfect scores. She has a preference towards classes such as History of Magic, Study of Ancient Runes and Ancient Studies, however.
