Watashi no yume ni atta - scen 1

"I will never perform on Kaleido Stage again" Laylas word rang through the air.

For a moment, which seemed to last forever, the words meaning slowly sank into Soras mind. Layla would never perform with her again. The woman to whom she had given everything in order to perform The Mystical Act with would never stand on a stage again.

"It's a lie...it has to be" Sora managed to stutter.

"It's not, Karen told me before the performance." Layla answered "I knew the risks very well before I attempted the act."

For another moment Sora stood perfectly still. The thought settled slowly into her as her body began to shake. I can't be here...I can't face her like this.
With that thought Sora turned and ran from the stage.

Layla saw the desperate look in Sora's eyes and pushed herself to follow her. She needed only take a few steps before the pain in the shoulder became to much. She let out a small cry of pain as she fell towards the floor, completely unable to persue Sora. She could feel herself lying against the cold floor, but her thoughts were allready traveling elsewhere.
Sora, please come back. Please don't leave me here...what will I become without you?

Sora didn't know how long she ran until her body gave in. Sadness had driven her body to exhaustion as she collapsed against a wall somewhere in the city. All she could think of was Layla and all that they had been through.
How could you do this to me? Didn't we promise not to keep any secrets. Didn't we promise not to lie to each other. Why didn't you tell me?!
