Judging by the drawing you can probably guess that this idea has to do with Whitley Schnee. I know its really far fetched but hear me out...

Villain Whitley.

Yeah I know it sounds crazy so let me explain. As of the end of Volume 7 with Jacque Schnee was in jail and Whitley was once again left alone but this time it was just him and his mom. As a lot of people know in the Volume 8 opening it looks like he’s going to be making a decision I know it’s really far out but what if He gets approached by one of Salem’s underlings or possibly Salem herself. With Whitley being the heir to the Schnee dust company he would be a very valuable ally. At this point he would have been abandoned by pretty much his entire family so this offer could be very appealing.

After joining Salem he of course would have to be taught how to fight probably by Hazel and in the process unlock his semblance which would also be a big help to Salem seeing as glyphs are a very powerful semblance. Rooster Teeth hasn’t confirmed or denied him having it as far as I know so I like to think he just hasn’t unlocked it. Not only would this give him the perfect opportunity to cut his ties with Jacque but it would set up for an awesome future battle with Weiss maybe.

Now this Villain Whitley thing wouldn’t leave him without redemption. As we all know it’s pretty obvious Oscar is going to get kidnapped so what if (and I’m just spit balling here) while Oscar is there him and Whitley become friends and Whitley helps him to escape.

I know there is one little problem with this, Volume 8 is only supposed to take place over two days and that’s not nearly enough time for all of this. However, that just makes this little what-if scenario tie directly into a theory I have for Volume 8. What if Oscar gets kidnapped in the season finale and the villains have won. Then Oscar spends maybe half of Volume 9 with the villains giving Oscar and Whitley time to become friends.

This is a pretty crazy idea I know but I just can’t help but feel it would be really cool. Thanks for reading to the end and I hope I don’t sound too crazy.
