Out of the blue, I became reminiscent of the old animated feature, "The Chipmunk Adventure" which starred Alvin and the Chipmunks, as well as the Chipettes, in probably one of my favorite childhood cartoon movies of all time! I just had to do some fanart of the trio since I don't think I'd ever drawn the three before. This piece was quite fun to work on! Disney's BLACK CAULDRON's failure caused him to dismiss several artists, who were then hired by Bagdasarian to work on Chipmunk Adventure. Hence its success.

I don't remember if I ever saw this movie, but I do remember these version of the Chipmunks.
I prefer these versions over the current ones, the designs were always cute and I like how they were portrayed as well. ^^

I honestly love these designs as well as opposed to their 3D counterparts. Sure, there's def an audience for the CGI version of these boys, but as something that really got stuck to me as a child, I'd definitely favor their 2D animation look.

High five! X3 Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see this stuff in it's prime. I was born in 1997, and raised on a mountain top, so I missed most of it. XD But when I dicovered AATC (the animated version), this movie was the first thing that I saw. :3 afterwards, it would've been the worst of mistakes not to find and watch every episode and movie I could find. XDΒ

Likewise to a certain extent. Out of all the Chipmunk movies, this was the only one I was able to watch back in the day (never had the opportunity to watch the others they released as well as the series). I'd definitely love to watch those!

I found them all on youtube. XD Not the best quality, but I'm certain I could find them elsewhere online. I mean, if you can find every episode of the Smurf for free online, I'm sure you can find AATC. XDΒ
