"No one makes a handsome addition to a villain collection like Gaston!"

Well probably far from the first I'm sure, Gaston is after all a popular villain and gets his own classic /basic doll after all. But unless you have the special editions, while the face sculpt is pretty good, the original Disney store body for this character is abysmal- with totally inappropriate, weedy little arms, far from biceps to spare LOL!

But anyhow I wanted one for my collection, while I had the head the original body would not do, so after much searching -many muscular male doll bodies later, I choose this one:

A Tom of Finland body.
Attaching the head wasn't too difficult too- just some trimming was needed, and some packing/filling up the head to attach onto the base plate.

Most of the other mods were quite minor, I used the original t-shirt which came with it, but dyed it red and added fabric to lengthen it, and made the yellow shirt collar.
Boots: I painted and added on the rim with faux leather fabric.
Belt: cut strip of faux leather with buckle.
Cape- originally from a Hercules doll- but sewed on the metal studs with connecting chain.
Probably the most work went into making the arrows, (with real feathers) bow and quiver- all were handmade from scratch.

Probably won’t be making his gloves though, as I want to avoid making ‘mittens’. The only way I’ve managed to make the proper fingered gloves in the past was by sewing them on directly, so that they are a sort of permanent fixture, which I don’t want.
