Haha yeah, I always thought so, in some ways he's as close to a vampire as a human can get. You know if I were to just watch a few seconds clip of the cathedral scene, without knowing what film it was, I could swear he was going to bite Esme's neck XD

Oh man! Claude as a vampire. Wonder who bit him.
I love his chest in this one. Very kissable, as well as his clavicals. Oooooooooh those beautiful clavicals.

Oh shoot, I must have skipped that. I was distracted when I was reading. Sorry about that. I reread it.
He does make a great vampire. He can prey on me anytime. Too bad he can't catch a break though. To be able to even try to change. I only see this predicament making him even more bitter and angry. He would have to let go of his pride though. But that is all apart of changing. I would love to believe that someone out there could show him love and make him realize that it's not a waste of time and that what he feels isn't a bad thing.

I always saw his pride as just a really thin glassy mask, that could break at the slightest crack (Esmeralda). As well as his arrogance and so forth. The real Claude Frollo got stamped out by his parents and peers maybe. I always pictured him as a by product of his father's teachings. His father trying to stamp out who Claude really was. Which was imaginative, open minded and curious of all things. His father also trying to stamp out any form of passion inside him...being romantic or artistic. But the real Frollo wasn't completely stamped out and Esme woke that part of him, but because of all the brainwashing he reacted in fear and desperation. So that prompted him to try to eliminate the source of his sin. Esme in his mind was the sin. When it's really just his natural self coming out.
I see Frollo as someone that naturally enjoys sex and the pleasures of life deep down. The walls he puts up are his arrogance and pride.

That's a nice idea; I think that's the very puzzle and appeal of the character-the mystery- we don't know what his upbringing was like to make him the way he was and what he truly is inside.

Yes and because he didn't really have a past (especially in the Disney version) It's kind of open ended. I guess I go off more of factual evidence that hate, intolerance and fear are taught. But, it could have been a number of things. It could have been a girl that broke his heart...It's so endless really.
I like your outer worldly ideas of him either becoming what is hunted or hunting beast from a literal hell as a repentance of his transgressions in a past life. I REALLY love the past life idea. Or even an alternative lifetime.

You're welcome! Yes, I agree. I do hope one day he'll reach that moment where he's done all he can and is finally free.
I wonder what his heaven consist of. Not what people joke about, but his true heaven.
I know this sounds kinda cheesy. But I always picture him in a field, on a warm day, just taking in nature and not having to make the big decisions anymore, or carry out the kings orders, or be feared. He's just present, lying in a field, with the sun shining on him.

[ I need a moment to organize my ideas!
Happy Easter, much blessings for you and your loved ones!
Please, do not say you cannot write, because you can do it beautifully! I am in love with the story that compliments your wonderful drawing so well. Woman, the feels, it all left me with a knot on my throat, the despair of returning to the church, to clung to your Faith, knowing there will be hope, solace and mercy, only to find one is soulless and an impure undead that all of those are as if denied, that now you are to recoil, it hurts, it hurts right in the feels T_T
Everything is doing awesomely to all detail, from the shadows behind him to his eyes, and the colours, everything! And his expression, is like he was about to break down and cry, alas, he had no tears now.
I also love you wrote him saying strigoi, as the words vampire was not created yet.
Now, allow me to implode..... *implodes* Cyber, you drew him on his infamous translucent white chemise!!! *implodes again* But he kept the rigs, it seems, great details! This is amazing, this is exactly what he wears on the RPs he is around on his chemise only... yes, is unholy, this is why the chemise is always refereed as infamous!
Thank you ever so much for drawing this amazing picture! ]

Oh same for you , happy Easter
well, I still find it difficult, but it makes me glad to hear that, thank you I wasn't going to write a story with it, hence the reason he's with rings, he shouldn't probably be with them, unless they survived the heat, and were found, but I love drawing them- so he has them on.
Oh yes, much feels such a terrible thing for one to endure, I was feeling sad writing it, if that isn't hurtful and frightening if one had such beliefs, I don't what is. I think he'd fear that more than the actual physical transformation. Certainly not all torture is physical. It cuts really deep.
Ah yes, Strigoi, the word use; the legends are old but the word vampire new, although strangely enough the word vampire is used in book a few times too, oops! though I can't remember if it's spoken or thought by a character or it's just descriptive. Hmmm.
I felt to to be more apt too, since such creatures are said troubled spirits to be created not from a bite, but other things; from committing sins, or dying unmarried, or from being cursed by a witch- ha. Yep, I can tick off most of those things with Frolls That's him all over-Still finding reasons for blaming that gypsy girl.
yes oh yes! A vampire Frollo in the infamous chemise! How could I not!
aww man- you know I think the most funny thing is, drawing him and seeing with actual teeth, vampire or no - the usual Disney style that detail is usually left out haha!

[ Thank you, you are very sweet!
Aaww, you wrote the story so well, and filled with emotions, I like it! *sigs* Yes, the feels are strong on this one , no sanctuary for him, the torment is now almost eternal, a torture for the soul, this is a tragedy, even if he finds friends they will age away and die and he would still wander the world in loneliness and having to ignominiously hunt small creatures or preying on those who were once his kind; it all makes me go berserk, Frollo must be saved, cut his head, take out that stone heart burn it and make Quasi drink the ashes, or the stake and hammer routine ...... Oh, forgive me, I am bricked with the sorrow here. Is amazing that your drawing and writing can move all these feels on the readers, great job!
Agree, someone can become vampire by different sources aside form a bite, from a curse to also for ending with one's own life, and I am not sure, but I recall something about being buried at a cross road ( ? ).
Ha ha ha, yes, I think Frollo said it, I will copy-paste! "So saying, Master Jacques unrolled a parchment. "Give it here," said the archdeacon. And casting his eyes upon this writing: "Pure magic, Master Jacques!" he exclaimed. "'Emen-Hétan!' 'Tis the cry of the vampires when they arrive at the witches' sabbath. Per ipsum, et cum ipso, et in ipso! 'Tis the command which chains the devil in hell. Hax, pax, max! that refers to medicine. A formula against the bite of mad dogs. Master Jacques! you are procurator to the king in the Ecclesiastical Courts: this parchment is abominable"........ Oooops! XD Yes, vampire folklore is as old as time, but the word was created more recently, I guess it was in use during Victor Hugo's era?
Frollo is the one of more realism on his design so his teeth are visible unlike others, but the depiction is not as accurate, and the vampire fangs you gave him are perfect! And OMG, infamous chemise means chemise action, he was even to dare going downstairs, leaving the bell tower during night and march to the altar to battle Maleficent, wearing his infamous nightwear only But now that he is Count Frollo, he probably would be able to wear something regal again and also keep Snowball.

Aawww Bunnies! That icon is cute; and I am so full of chocolate eggs
Ah yes, I thought so, thanks for confirming; Frollo said it himself haha; historically inaccurate in the era of the book, but the word I think was around when Hugo wrote the book.
Yes must be saved! Oh dear yes- there is so much vampire lore, so many ways; I think if you plan on writing fiction/making a movie etc, you've just got a pick out a set of 'rules'- half of it if is figuring out what abilities they have, how they are created and what works against them and what doesn't. Some Vampires, esp the early ones are even immune to sunlight - it's so varied!
Teeth believe me, having a a job working in the dental profession, that's always the first thing I notice- it has to be just right- lol he needs orthodontics surgery to move his lower jaw back, he's got a bit of a class 3 bite. Vamps don't need huge teeth - just very sharp to make incisions to draw blood -so I gave him quite 'dainty' fangs XD
Haha chemise action- I bet Mal got a right eyeful

[ Aaawww man! Here we are stuffed with cake!
Yes, ha ha ha, I was not able to remember who said the word; I tought it was a way to describe him and Jacques in the chapter Two Men in Black Clothes (is this correct? ), but no, Frolls himself pronounced vampire XD
Let's save him! Len Van Helsing shall help! Amen, the folklore is so vast, yes we have from those that had appearance of zombies, to the ones immune to sunlight, or shape their forms into mist, and is also related to Lilith, Lamia (spelling) and plenty of stories, is al fascinating, but as you stated, one must choose carefully the settings, and please no sparking vampires allowed.
Oh yes, I noticed but I was not sure what it was! I thought it could be mandibular prognathism, would you say this is correct, is the same as 3 class bite?! I found interesting that Kathy included this detail on her design, it was considered bone deformity and he is always trying to be perfect and has no problem on reminding Quasi to be deform, when the one with a trouble right on his face and also maybe troubles chewing is himself.
Malefy probably had some eye candy , all right! She was confronting Frollo in order to make him return the staff he stole from her, so in a point of the RP in which Quasi, Frolls and Malefy were chasing at the cathedral's roof, inside [ ] or in a note ( I can't remember well ), Malefy said something on the lines of "oh, I see now where you had hidden the staff!"
Esme had seen chemise action too *I facepalm myself* ... this madness, this is Sparta! ]

Mandibular prognathism you got it, that's the general term for it, though it doesn't always cause problems with eating, depends on severity and other factors, but it is usually corrected. Hmmm yes that is a interesting point, telling Quasi how deformed he is, though he has a slight deformity himself- lol -such a hypocrite!
Oh oh god No! No sparkly vampires; that abomination shouldn't be allowed.
