My good friend Carla on the bus home, she looked so tired, so desperate to get home, and almost lonely... and also cute!I took this with a 20 year old SLR Camera made in east germany, and Carla scanned it for me. Windows XP is gay and isnt compatable with my Scanner.

I think it's quite good. I wish the blue bar wasn't in the photograph, it's possible to photoshop it out, but would take a lot of time, or so I think. That, and the blown out white in the background, if this had been my photograph, would have either gotten rid of the background all together, leaving just her, or perhaps, B/W for the background and a little contrast adjustment to make it better.
Ok! Onto the things I'm fond of...
Very pretty girl. It also looks like a semi ' candid ' photograph, perhaps she was aware you had the camera, but it doesn't seem as if she was posing for it. Looks like she's lost in her own thoughts of someplace, and it seems like home, or someone at home would be a good guess, supported by your description. Skin tones are very nice, too.
Hope you don't mind the criticism, I realize it's a 20 year old cam, and I'm not sure of it's condition and lense.

hey man, i really love this photo too. the narrow depth of field adds to the effect. i think that the blue bar makes it look better, a little more candid, but i'm no artist.

Tis a nice photo. All the blurring puts more focus onto your friend.. makes her more a focal despite the fact there's other things in the background. Nice.
