But you could uh... put the mask or ghoul's eye,
I honestly didn't thought of kaneki here...
He look like from bleach (gin?) instead... (sorry that was my first thought)

in regards to your critique :-
1. I actually tried putting one red eye , but it made him look "evil" , so i ditched it and went for his normal eyes to achieve the "neutral" look .
2. I get that there's is a resemblance in this drawing between kaneki and gin because of the kimono , but this drawing was inspired by one of ishida's artworks -> ( Link : s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7… ) .
I hope that clarified some misconceptions that you had about this artwork .
