drew me this lovely picture of Cybre, in trade for a picture of anthro horse, and this is what I came up with. This is my first attempt at a horse (as I'm sure you can tell), so crits are greatly appreciated. I hope you like it, Ishaway! I'll try to color it soon

Awesome lineart! Currently, I can't think of anything in particular to say, except... This is a first?! Wow... I generally need a great deal of practice with a particular species before I can reach the desired effect. Great Job, keep it up!

Excellent line work. The portrayal of motion is highly effective with the use of leaves in the minimalistic background, which also serves to place all the attention on the character.
However, seeing as you asked for an advanced critique, I'd like to point out that her muzzle is a bit piggish, perhaps because of the slight upturn of the nose and the small nostrils. That's easily fixed by allowing the muzzle to slope downward ever so gently and adding a bit more depth and width to the nostrils.

Wow. The linework has such a unique style to it. Beautiful job for an equine.. the body has such 'character' and not at all having the 'stiff' problem many art poses do.
You took great detail I can tell and it's paid off. Really hope to see this colored

Okay. For a start, the muzzle seems a little too short, considering the species; the chin I also feel could be extended a little to give it more presence and balance the face out a little--her head has more of a box shape than a typical rectangular. The hair and the ears are fabulous and well-placed--great job. Considering once again of her equine nature, I'd also suggest a slightly wider neck so it flows more evenly to the body...she seems a little too thin. Her shoulders are well-placed and spaced, and move smoothly into the body--which is also very well shaped and sized--though her arms seem a little spindley, which give her a very thin feel as well. Due to the long skirt, it is hard to tell what the rest of the body structure is like, but based on what can be seen it appears well-done. The tail and hooves are excellently drawn, though the left (right if you're looking at it) ankle-joint appears to be a little low on the leg.

I am in LOVE with her flowy hair and fabric. And for yor first time drawing a horse anthro you handled their blasted hooves wonderfully. (I can never figure them out, alas and alack!)
However it does sorta look like one arm is longer than the other. Her right arm (our left) looks a bit off, I think.
Just the same I love the framing/composition. That's really cool.

I think she's cute. ^^ My crit would be that the right (hers) hoof doesn't look as grounded as the other one. Maybe when you color it, I'll see that it was meant to look that way, if you decide to. And her ears would typically be a little higher, and pointing upwards. Horses don't typically lean their ears down.

Awesome work. Her hair looks great, and I love that background. The only crit I have is that her left armpit looks a little strange, the way the shoulder connects to her torso or something. But maybe that's just me.
