Cybre is a fangirl...I had this itching to draw Axel for a while now, but yesterday, I just had to do it (I gotta run with inspration when I get it)! I showed it to my fiance, he just looked at me, smiled, and said, "...fangirl." I confess... I AM A FANGIRL!!!
There, I feel better now... ^^
It's no secret, I WUV the Kindgom Hearts series. Axel is from Kindgom Hearts Chain of Memories (Game Boy Advance), and Kingdom Hearts II (PS2). Okay, I gotta say this... if you played KH2 and did not play Chain of Memories... GO PLAY IT!!! They are VERY connected. I was surprised myself by that fact... that's not typical for Square to do. But anyhoo, great series all around - and Axel just happened to really stand out to me in KH2, so therefore, fanart!
(What is it with me and fanart lately - that's rare for me... huhhhh...)BTW... that weapon was MASSIVELY referenced. Don't expect me to draw something like that from memory

in the game i think roxas stood out idk i guess its bc of his desperate need to find out who he really is and whos his heart belongs to i love tht game i draw roxas alot XD cant help it im gonna draw axel for the first time today so hope it wrks out. . .

Shammy is a fan girl too... If I weren't so scared of how horrible I draw people, I'd have DOZENS of pics on him by now... buuut... I'm gonna try to start drawing chibi's and see how they turn out.

^_^ At least your fangirling wasn't dormant...I got the game two hours after it came out, and I never started fangirling over Axel until late June.
This is fantastic, you caught his attitude very well. I also like the contrast of the swirly fire and...spikyness of Axel's hair, and how it's balanced by his cloak and chakram in the lower half of the piece.
Oh, yes...I was wondering, where can one find a blue sketching pencil? Must they be ordered specially, or can they be found in craft shops? I've searched high and low in our three local art stores, and no dice.
But I digress; nice work, you get a :favlove: from me.

My fangirling did take a while too... it didn't kick in at all during Chain of Memories. I think it was after hearing Axel's voice that I came to like his character better ^_^

I'm just now playing Chain of Memories...and Axel does seem like a different character...maybe it's because his attitude can't really be noticed in a Game Boy game.

Yes, he seemed much more...serious in CoM. At least, so far (I just finished the Monstro stage.) He suited his element much better in the second game, with his attitude. ^-^

Oh, I forgot to mention, if you cannot find single blue ones, you can get a set of 12 colors. I've seen them at Staples and other office stores for about $4 a set. Your art store may have those too. I prefer to buy the blue ones alone, but do occasionaly use the other colors for layering effects. You may find you like another color than blue as well ^_^

I'm teaching myself how to make little chibi-style plush. I had downloaded one of *BabyLondonStar 's patterns back in March, lost it, and decided to try it out on my own, with my Kurama plush I bought as a model. I'm working on one of my original character Kha, and Axel (I saw some for sale by some plushie-ists, but they didn't match the one in my mind...But neither is the one I'm sewing! XD)

XD My boyfriend assured me it was looking good so far...But I think he was just doing his job, telling me what I want to hear. I ran out of red felt, so there are big gaps in his hair...I might put up a couple 'work in progress' photos, though.
