Description These were interesting to colour. this is also my 20th race!

Species name: Elaphocentaur
Bio: Elaphocentaur are peaceful forest dwelling centaur like creatures. they are very fast and agile and have fast reflexes. all children are born with spots and depending on the coat type they disappear with age, the fallow deer coat type keeps it's spots.

But what if there's the giant type of cervitaur, like an alcetaur, the moose type, unlike most cervitaurs, they had no spots in all ages, and their noses are bigger. Otherwise, male alcetaurs only had antlers when they are adults, like every moose.

Yeeperdoodle! Plus alcetaurs maybe the giant types of Cervitaurs, but they had similar strengths to centaurs.

They sound really cool!
interestingly Alce comes from the the Italian word for Moose so the Greek name
would be élafos, élafoscentaur.

Hm, seems the buck is a reindeer or maybe elk, the doe seems to be a whitetail, and I'm having trouble identifying the fawn.

Deer are interesting in that they are sort of colder weather, forest dwelling versions of antelopes (Not to say that is the main thing that divides the two groups. Just observing a trend). They seem to be a popular motif in pop culture for creatures associated with the forests and wilds in whatever form.

People also often confuse the two of them. I've seen quite a few antelope photographs here on DA labelled as deer pics which i often correct the author whenever i can. Photos featuring gazelles, impalas, duikers and dik diks are especially susceptiple to this with the last two being labelled as "young/baby deer".

That must frustrate you so much as a zoology nerd that likes ungulates.

Elk, whitetail doe and I think a whitetail fawn?

yeah I really like deer, I've always found them interesting, I think a think that makes them
more popular then antelopes is people see deer more, they are more familiar to a lot of people.
