Description ^^ Heheh - Uhm... My first NEW post for my NEW account!

And, it is a small surprise that I've been working on for a friend of mine, over this past week ~ guess who? ;3

Aaanyway, I've been working on this, while I should've been working on drawing my new Homestuck FC's, or finishing a certain humanized fox for another friend of mine - but, I was in the mood for doing a bit of Pixel Artwork! Besides, I haven't done anything with Amalika, for quite some time, so I thought it'd be cool for me to do something new with her! X3

Sooo ~ I made a Pixel Art of her! ^^
... While trying to emulate the Sonic Advance-style Pixel Art sprites... XD

Well, I know you'll be offline, tomorrow, but I wanted to get this in, today, since I'm gonna be offline tomorrow, for most of the day, as well...

So, Amalika Ea is =Amalika 's cutie raccoon girl! ^^
This sprite was made by my hand - and, for the first time, this isn't made by ~shadoweirdo667 , but ~cycloneArchfiend !

Heheh - I think I like to use orange-haired/eyed Amalika more than red-haired/eyed Amalika, when spriting her... But, in my actual pictures, it's the opposite way around...
... I forget which hair-color is supposed to be her ACTUAL hair color, so often! @.<

Pffft - aww, c'mon, pixel art is just basically like drawing a picture - the only difference is that you're doing it digitally, pixel by pixel, instead of using pencils and paper!

C'mon - you should try it out, more, for yourself! It's a lot of fun to do! ^^

... Well, if you don't ever PRACTICE making pixel art, then of COURSE you'll never improve! It's practice that makes perfect, after all!

... And, besides, if you know how to draw, then you should be able to figure out Pixel Art really easily - just keep trying! ;3

I love this and it was so unexpected! Hehe, you are totally excused for not having drawn your HS FCs yet!
I'm always amazed how great your pixel works turn out q__q And Amalika's little details (the red stones) are probably so hard so outline and color properly!

It's a pity that you aren't online today though. Let me guess, does whatever you do involve trading cards?
Uhm, and Amalika's actual hair color is black/red, but orange works fine! It does look red so I don't see a problem here! xD If you wouldn't have mentioned it then I probably wouldn't see the slight trace of orange in it! o.o As I already said it looks like red to me and red's correct! xD

Aww... Well, I found it kind of hard to work on my characters, when I discovered that I had this sitting - not even half finished - on my hard drive, for almost a month, now...
So, I had to finish it up, real quick! X3
XD Well, the hardest part of ANY picture - pixel art, or sketch - is always the hands, for me... But, everything else I found relatively easy to make. Even the smaller details, such as her pendant and the stones!
... Which isn't to say that those parts are easy, of course - they're just easy, compared to the hands. X3

Ah... I THOUGHT it was supposed to be red/black... XD
... But, for some reason, I always prefer to make her hair orange, in sprites and Pixel Art, despite knowing it's supposed to be red... o3o
... But, doesn't her ref-sheet show that her hair-color is orange, instead of red...?
Pffft - Nah, it looks nothing LIKE red, to me - it's much too orange to be red! X3

Heck, that's the ONLY way to do Pixel Art! Although, mostly, I just try to emulate an already-existing style of pixel art - such as the Sonic Advance-style and Sonic Battle-style PA's. I've yet to try finding a style of my own.

Pffft - well, yeah... But, if I don't make my PA's from scratch, I think it's cheating. Editing existing sprites... I don't know... Every time I see sprites like that, I can't help but think "rip-off." There's just not as much effort put into edits, I think. I only ever did edits twice, before... But, not anymore...

Aww, hey - there's no shame in it. Not if it helped you to practice and become the pixel artist you are, today! ^^
... But, yeah - except for the few edits I made to understand what spriting was about, I've always considered editing a form of cheating at sprite-making, and such. I mean, there's nothing all that special about being able to take an existing image, change around the details a little bit, and posting it as "new" artwork. That's pretty-much just re-coloring. <.<
... There aren't many Sonic spriters on DA that I actually like the work of, because so many of them just make EDITS. Edits that look too much like the character they're editing.
X3 Aww, what?! I thought it was pretty cute, though! But, I think a LOT of things are cute...
... Well, if it would make you feel better, I could lie to you about my gender... But, sadly, I'm a boy... ;A;
... Not that I much enjoy BEING one, anyway... XD
