Sort of a fusion art trade with gemfriends ? We soft agreed and talked about me drawing the fusion of his Bluby and my Bloodstone, and him drawing the fusion of my Mookaite Jasper and his Poudretteite.

So yeah, this is the fusion of Bloodstone and Bluby!

We agreed that the fusion would be masc presenting and kinda edgy. He doesn't have to let wounds show, because he's a gem, but he does because the Blue Ruby in him thinks it makes him look cool.
He's based of the 90s, heavily leaning towards grunge fashion, but still neon, like how I remember early 2000s being. AND BAD HAIR. MULLETS AND TEEN STACHE UP THE WAH-ZOO! I tried to give him the SU feel of being both his component gems, but also very much his own person.

Idk what I think of this piece. Like..I was SUPER happy with the sketch and line art but then I started coloring and...
I wonder if I put to many colors? But the gem I based him off of has a lot of colors..so my brain hurty. I simultaneously think his colors should be darker and brighter. I usually show Ashton my art when I have problems, to get a second opinion, but since this was a semi-surprise, I had to work through it. I worked so hard on this and yet, meh. This might be thd tiredness talking though. It's after midnight and I spent 3 hours straight on this today.
