history:
Mel Grew up in small down on the outskirts of Canterlot, with very few friends. he was picked on quite a lot growing up, and his mother was constantly having to put bandaids on him after bullies began to beat him up for his lunch money.
The bullying slowly came to a close as he reached his early teen years. other than the few colts who would tease him for being a blank flank.
He began to take out his frustrations by writing music,His Father knew how to play piano so he started teaching him from a young age.
eventually Mel was asked by his teacher to try and help lead his schools Band practice. (His teacher had noticed how much he lit up in music class which is why he decides to test Mel on his skills,thus why he asked him to help lead the schools band practice) upon realizing how much he liked doing so,His cutiemark appeared and thus his journey to being one of the top orchestra leaders in Baltimare began.
He moved from his hometown to Baltimare after his 19th birthday and started waiting tables for extra bits.
He finally scraped up enough money to buy an older building, in which he turned into a School for Musicians.
Stallions and mares from all over came to show off their talents and eventually Professer Melodys school for talented Creatures Was started up.
