Description Chapter I

I could hear a silent beep. Suddenly it started getting louder. Everywhere was only bright light. I was wondering if I was still amongst the living or have I already entered the realm of the dead. I haven't felt a thing, yet somehow all of this was quite peaceful nothing can last forever, and this illusion was suddenly interrupted by a voice.

-Dawn.

That voice sounded so familiar. The warm tone of the voice was so friendly, and so calm that I felt terrible for not being able to remember to whom it belonged. Then I heard it again.

-Dawn. Can you hear me?

Dawn: Y... Yes.

-I missed the sound of your voice so much.

Dawn: S... Sorry.

As my sight slowly returned. I began to see everything around me. After a while I had realized that I was in a hospital. The sound I heard was only the heart beat monitor, and next to my bed was a young girl. She was staring at me with tears in her golden eyes. Her dark ash brown hair was such of a big contrast to her pale skin. She had a short perky nose, a sharply formed chin and small cute ears. I felt so comfortable around her and that’s when I asked.

Dawn: Who are you, and why the hell can't I move my body!?

-It seems as that the procedure damaged your pre-frontal cortex and you suffer a slight form of memory loss. Don’t worry it will come back with time.

Dawn: You still haven't answered my question.

-Sorry, but I am just so glad that you are ok. My name is Erin and...

That name rang a bell, as I was thinking pictures of her started appearing in my head. Suddenly some memory fragments flashed in front of my eyes, I could recall her name and that there was something between the two of us. Yet still most of my memories were still shrouded in mystery. On that moment, I was just happy that a tiny part was uncovered, from what was my past.

Dawn: Erin I'm so happy to see you again.

Erin hugged me and started crying, I would have also cried wasn't it only for the fact that I had no feeling in my whole body.

Dawn: Erin could you stop for a minute and tell me why I am in a hospital, and why can't I feel anything.

Erin: I don't know what happened, I was only informed that you were involved in some sort of accident and that your condition was critical. All I could do was to never give up hope that one day you would wake up again.

Dawn: Wake up? How long have I been out cold?

Erin: Close to a year.

Dawn: A year!?  Goddamn, are you fucking shitting me or what!

Erin: Nope, and your "beauty sleep" hasn't changed you one single bit.

A whole year taken out from my life. I was stunned, and all what I wanted to know was what happened. Also, why nobody could answer me why I was not able to move a single muscle in my body!

Dawn: Hey can't you call a doctor or someone who could shine a bit of light on the whole "I can't move" thing, will you?

Erin:Right, can you wait while I try to find someone.

Dawn: Don't worry I won't "run away".

Erin:You really haven't changed a single bit.

Dawn:Erin!

Erin:Alright I'm going already.

There I was, alone, probably paralyzed with one year taken out of my life and most of my memory missing.I thought to myself that life couldn't become any worse than it already is.To tell the truth I was dead wrong, and this whole situation was only the beginning of my problems.I just wasn't ready for that what was about to face me.Coming to terms with the fact  that the life that I had was over, proved to be a challenge as well. But I had no idea what was ahead of me.The only thing I knew was that nothing would be the same.
