LOL where do you live where they tag "Korn" on the walls? most of the time I see shit like X3 or XVIII

CykeADelic In reply to donkeypoodle [2007-03-08 09:22:02 +0000 UTC]

I live in southern Germany approx. 200 km westwards from Munich (or about 50 km eastwards from Stuttgart).
There are a lot of Korn-kiddies around here

DIE-Richard-Simmons [2007-02-07 17:08:56 +0000 UTC]

heres whats up man. you need, i mean, NEED a wider angle lens. this would allow you to cram in more detail in your shotswhile still maintaining a central focal pointto your shot. and get in closer! fill that frame with your eubject and worry less about getting things like the street lights, to expose the way you want them to. if you think the photo is good, get closer. henri cartier-bressant

Thank you very much for your comment. I appreciate your suggestions. Currently I have just a 50 mm and 17-55mm lens, so I have to stick to them. IΒ΄ve already been looking for a better wide angle lens, but unfortunately theyΒ΄re quite expensive and I canΒ΄t afford one at the moment. But IΒ΄ll try to take your advice to heart and try next time to get closer to my subject. thanks for the advice, man

I love the blue tones.

Your photos are amazing. It's more of my style what you have in your gallery. You so deserved the watch and all the comments and favorites.

ZoharBlur [2007-02-04 16:33:40 +0000 UTC]

I like the composition alot. Are you lighting up a cigarette there? Also the graffiti on the wall adds alot. Did you put your cam on a tripod and set the timer to 10 seconds?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CykeADelic In reply to ZoharBlur [2007-02-04 22:25:28 +0000 UTC]

Yes, thats a cigarette. And you are right with the tripod and self-timer, too I recently puchased an ir remote control, which makes shoots of this kind a lot easier Thank you very much. Glad you like it.

Allright, some K0Rn scribble in the background.
I like the color and the light of this photo. It feels pretty cold.

Thanks. My intention actually was to create a photo with a cold, urban look to it. Glad you like it

photo-buff [2006-12-21 06:59:22 +0000 UTC]

I like this, it's got a very contradicting atmosphere. Your pose is quite a relaxed one, yet the way the image is presented (with the blue tones and not much contrast etc) is in a way quite distressing. I love the concept, it's fantastic! A very powerful idea, maybe you should continue down this path... Well done!

as far as these types of things go, this is really nice.
i like how real it is. but sdly the effect of deviantart atkes away the raw feeling this photo needs.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CykeADelic In reply to joker-vincent-tailor [2006-12-20 08:24:40 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for your comment. Could you please explain to me why "the effect of dA takes away the raw feeling" of this photo?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

joker-vincent-tailor In reply to CykeADelic [2006-12-20 11:14:46 +0000 UTC]

well you see, the frame and the whole proffesional layout makes its seem so posed when you can see its real.
but say if it was just a photo, in your hands you would feel it... i dunno. lol.

pie.
