Thanks man. Funny, I was playing that last night. And, yup, that's the first line in the intro. I like the way he delivers it, too. The original quote is usually credited to a master strategist named Sun Tzu.

Not the best COD in my opinion, but it was very interesting. And yeah, Makarov was one heck of a villain in that game. I never knew it was from Sun Tzu

I mostly play for multi-player anyway. And, in that respect I think 3 was better than 2. I never played any others. It kinda seems like the same game over again with small tweaks here and there.

Same here. I've played COD 3 to Black Ops 2. My personal fave was World at War

It is from Sun Tzu's Art of War: "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

That's pretty cool. Here's the MW3 version:
"All warfare is based on deception. For years the West hypocrisy has made the world a battlefield. The corrupt talk, while our brothers and sons spill their own blood. But deceit cuts both ways. The bigger the lie, the more likely will believe it. And when a nation cries for vengeance, the lie spreads like a wildfire. The fire builds, destroying everything in its path. Our enemies believe that they alone, dictate the course of history. And all it takes, is the will, of a single man."
But I never knew it was originally from Sun Tzu.
