It happened to be a really nice, clear weather here, so spent few hours sitting on a bench and drafting this scenery.Helsinki, Tokoinranta, view over Eläintarhanlahti. The tallest building there is the Paasitorni, part of Työväentalo (something like worker's house)
Made with an (erasable) inkpen on a a4 paper, nothing much more to say on the process. Tried out to make reasonable perspective, and practice some way to make the trees look like trees.

Well, I have nothing but respect for the people who fought there and defended our independence, Häyhä included. I know the basics, as they are thought in our history lessons at schools.
Must admit tho, that when I read about history, I'm myself more drawn to the stories of scientists and explorers.

I kinda feel sorry for Finland......they didn't want to participate in the second world war,then the reds came over and took over by force and Finland had to join the Nazis.
Finland during ww2 was complicated, they where getting help from the Nazis,but where not on their side (still pisses me off when people say they where working together as baddies.
