What a shit story. I remember between like 2014-2015(somewhere in that time) I remember the Creepy Pasta fandom was booming and all over the place. Creepy Pasta review channels were massive at this time and I remember everyone was talking about "how to write the perfect Creepy Pasta". But everyone was just kind of... shitting on each other continuously. I remember this was around the time people really started talking about how shit Jeff the killer was and how poorly written he was and there was always someone in the comments(rightfully in my opinion lol) shitting on the fan girls and their self inserts.

I remember I used to binge watch these YouTube channels(all of which I assume are dead, gone or deleted by now) and I wanted to write the perfect Creepy Pasta.

So what HAS become of the Creepy Pasta fandom since then?:/ does it exist anymore? It seems too, surprisingly. I was certain it was dead as a doornail or something. I guess TikTok, Amino and those other shitty apps continue to perpetuate bullshit Creepy Pasta's and the fandom among young children, namely girls.

I remember there was all that drama about the Creepy Pasta Sally, which I still think is terrible garbage and extremely distasteful to rape victims. I remember the Creepy Pasta fandom become divided into two people; people wanting to write a actual story and people wanting to draw Jeff the killer shoving his dick up their dead, 12yrold killer OCS ass.

Not sure if that's the case anymore; I'm disappointed and a little surprised to see people still drawing their ocs fucking Jeff. I mean... everyone knows how shit he is at this point, right? Are there people who still genuinely like this poorly written fucker? Are there people still talking about how distasteful and poorly written most Creepy Pasta OCS are? How they used to add rape to the story just cause? It almost became a meme like shitty Sonic characters at the time. Like Clockwork.

Looking at it now... wth IS the Creepy Pasta fandom? there seems to be a weird popular clique of people where the fandom(I guess?) deems certain characters "cool" enough to be considered "official". Like Clockwork, Sally, Jane, Eyeless Jack, Ticci Tobi, Masky and Hoody. I always wondered who decided that and why lol. I remember I used to want to be in that group but damn am I glad I am not. Half of them are shit and I wouldn't want someone taking my OC and drawing gay yaoi uwu art at their own discretion, fuck that. It doesn't become your OC anymore, its the public's now. Good ol' Jeff. I absolutely hate him. I never liked the Creepy Pasta. I remember the only time Jeff ever scared me was the damn screamer on some website I saw when I was like 9. Jeff as a character is just... terrible. Let's not even talk about the bullshit of him getting bleach and alcohol thrown on him then set on fire, somehow turning his skin white

lets pretend Jeff just exists in the same universe as Batman does. The Joker fell in acid; his skin turns white and his hair turned green. Let's just pretend in Jeff's universe that is a freak accident thing that CAN happen. Doesn't make it any less stupid, but still.

Jeff is just terrible as a character and as a story. I don't think anymore needs to be said about it that everyone already doesn't know or hasn't heard before. He's a rip off of the Joker, for sure. Down to the "you wanna know how I got these scars" lips, the name starting with J and the skin. Also people compare him to clowns often, even giving him clown-themed music in speedpaints? Never understood why. Further Joker imagery?? I guess its the insane laughing he has and "let's play a game" quotes or something.

Jeff as a character is flat. What can you describe about him? Nothing. Even before his accident, how would you describe Jeff? he has no character you can think of. It's almost like he's made to be molded by fans instead of having set characteristics to his character save for specific guidelines. A.k.a the "go to sleep" quote, being a killer, and his appearance.

Could some Jeff up in a lot of people...

I've been writing bad guy characters for years and always religiously make sure to they aren't poorly written or mary sues. I've been studying IRL killers as well and try to incorporate those things into my evil characters when making them.

Not that you need to do this to see that, but Jeff is poorly written and makes no sense. He's apparently a normal kid then SUDDENLY out of nowhere starts getting a, I think the described it, a "tingly feelings" and he doesn't know what it is? It could be literally ANYTHING but Jeff just suddenly has violent urges and thoughts out of nowhere. There's no escalation to it or hints that Jeff was violent before; just sudden violence. While there have been one or two serial killers that had normal or average upbringings and only started in their adult-hoods with no violent past, they usually had other weird ass behaviors and just didn't suddenly wake up to wanting to kill. They been thinking on it for years and finally acted out on it.

The "go to sleep" quote never made any sense to me. Jeff has nothing that happened to him or related to him to make him focus so heavily on "going to sleep" that it becomes his quote. Every time he kills. Maybe Jeff has OCD or repetitive thoughts.:/

And I never understood the whole "I'm beautiful" and "smiling forever" manic laughing thing he had in the hospital. Jeff was described as a average kid but suddenly his appearance takes front and center, as well as smiling apparently, to his character.

From a story perspective there is no reason for this.

The story needs some kind of reason of early foreshadowing that he's got something with his apprentice already or his smiling. Hell just even have characters tell him to "smile" more 8/! That would've been SOMETHING at least. Why does he burn out his eyelids? The specific eyelid and mouth cutting makes less sense to me than anything. Why does he kill his brother he apparently loved dearly? who the hell knows. I could maybe assume his parents because they seemed neglectful at worst, not attentive at BEST.

The irony is that most if anything good to come out of Jeff the Killer is fan content. I'm sure there's some good fanfics out there and there's certainly good artwork and music of Jeff, but the source material is terrible.

Jeff is like a character that could be campy or fun, or even had a potential but was poorly executed. I can't believe he got so famous, Christ.

The things I(sort of) do like about Jeff?
I like his implied violent streak; I think if we had some incling to Jeff being violent before it would've added a whole lot to his story. Like him even torturing animals, or just being violent. I liked his relationship with his brother; I feel like the brotherly love relationship was squandered and forgotten about in favor of "cool action fight" shit. I mean Jeff went into a depression for his brother being sent to Juvie. I think a Jeff the killer story focusing on Jeff's decent into manic depression and violence would've been interesting to see. Or perhaps some kind of psychological thriller.

For this picture Jeff is middle 20's. I figure he isn't going to wear a white hoody forever, so he's wearing light body armor I assume he stole from someone.
