LOL WOW... people never said there alicorn oc's were anything like the 2 princesses nor do people make alicorns to say there royalty alot of poeple make there oc's alicorns because they like the look and style and pick between a unicorn and pegasus.. :/ thats the reason i created mine - and how you can say its on the same lvl as them its no where close nor does it look anything like the royal alicorns. . nor do i act like im a snob its lame how people hate on people who just want to be in style of an alicorn

It's your OC and as long you don't portrait her as a sibling of Celestia and Luna that also happens to be able to move the Sun, the Moon and the entire universe at the same time with half the effort those princesses put on their jobs, she is not a Marie Sue. If someone dons't get it, just ignore. You are better without those people. ^^
Also, the MLP:FiM universe is a fantasy world, I bet there are alicorn princesses at every corner of that world.

im no where near saying im better then anyone else nor do i appreciate people who talk crap bout alicorns its an oc its not made for the show and also who cares if the ones on the show are royal ... get over it damn,,, i made my oc an alicorn because i think alicorns have a unique look to them - just because someone makes an oc get over it no one was ever saying i was better then anyone nor am i snobby or a mary sue geez get over it people

I could see that -nod- After all, all the alicorns we've seen so far have been royalty. In my alicorns's case, she's got royalty in her bloodline cause her great-great grandfather was an alicorn. But she didn't realize she was an alicorn until her teen years when her horn started to grow in (had only been a tiny bump before and she had never noticed).
I more think of the alicorns as just a rare kind of pony that just happened to work itself into the pony elite in Equestria's history. So yeah, if you make your OC an alicorn I think you should have a very good and interesting story behind it. (And cause my alicorn's horn was late to mature she's having to learn magic as an adult instead of starting as a filly like a unicorn would
