  Sprucepaw thinks Icystar is very helpful! He caught a hare and brought it back to camp, splitting it with all his clanmates. Sprucepaw uses this as an opportunity to show off, showing how clean he’s able to take apart the hare into chunks to give to his clanmates. Icystar is impressed, but also a little concerned about how he got that ability.

  Splinterspots wants to be chosen as the new deputy. She goes to Icystar for advice on how to be a good warrior for the clan in his eyes, stating that she knows things are likely to change under him.

  Cinderpaw admires how brave Elmpelt is. However, he isn’t doing some brave feat, but openly complaining how Yarrowwatcher never does anything helpful. She bickers with Cinderpaw about thinking that’s a thing to admire someone for.

  Berrymurk only has a few pieces of burdock in his stores and tries to figure out ways to use this to treat injuries to the best of his ability.

  Icystar ends up hearing about the argument between Elmpelt and Yarrowwatcher, and forces Elm to apologize. She is grateful for Icystar’s leadership.

  Icystar takes Cinderpaw out on a territory tour. He spots a thrush, and quizzes Cinderpaw on the best strategy for catching it. But Cinderpaw points out it’d be best to try and catch it instead. Icystar succeeds!

  The rest of the clan is trying to help Berrymurk get enough herbs before winter. He wants to get some ragwort before it’s too late. However, the plants have died quicker than expected. It’s going to be a rough leafbare.
