*sigh* "I KNOW I put it on charge last night...so WHY isn't it...OH! H-hello, there! Hey, um...can you gimme just a minute to get my leg working? Thanks!"

*grrr* "C'mon, work already! I don't have time for this right--ah, there we go! Looks like it's working now....still, this is the third time it's done this in the last week or two...*sigh*...guess I better call and see about getting it worked on before-"

"Oh, right! Sorry about that...I guess I got so wrapped up in getting my leg working that I kinda forgot you were there...but anyways, enough about that. You must be the one Lauren and the others told me about. Apparently Lauren thought it'd be a good idea for all of us to introduce ourselves...and since you've already met the others, I guess that means it's my turn, right? Well, then...let's get started!"

"So, the name's Claire...but something tells me you already knew that, didn't you? I mean, you've already met my friends, and I'm pretty sure they all mentioned me, didn't they? Yeah, I thought so...but...given the fact you've STILL got that 'surprised' look on your face, I'm guessing they never told you about my 'unique' situation, did they?"

*sigh* "Alright, then...why don't I go ahead and address the obvious...you know, the fact that I've had a leg amputated. Now, I'm sure you're wondering HOW I lost my leg, but...honestly, it's a pretty boring story, so....maybe I'll tell you that another time. For now, there's only two things you need to know about my situation: 1) I've been an amputee pretty much my entire life, and 2) just because I only have one leg does NOT mean that I'm 'disabled.' Seriously, I can't tell you how many times I've had 'normal' people just assume that I'm 'helpless' on account of my missing leg. I keep trying to tell people that I'm 'not disabled, just differently-abled,' but...*sigh*...look, all I want is for 'normal' people to just treat me the same way they would anyone else, you know?"

"Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that when I'm around my friends. Zoey, Lauren, Heather...they've always treated me the same way they do each other, and I'll be eternally grateful to them for that...I'm sure they've mentioned it already, but the four of us are like sisters to each other...I mean, we've known each other since we were just toddlers, so...hmm....you know, I've never thought about it, but...with how long we've known each other...I guess me having one leg is as normal to them as it is to me..."

"Anyways, aside from my missing leg, I'm just your average full-time college student working on a degree in graphic design. Growing up, I've always found myself drawn to doing things that let me express my creative side...you know, things like drawing on a sketch pad, painting on a canvas, making tiny sculptures out of clay...but the first time I found myself using graphic design programs in high school, I was hooked. I mean, the things you can do with them are incredible! For example, you see the floral design on my prosthetic leg's shin-plate? Well, during an internship last year, I got to work with a professional graphic designer who helped me create this design! That's pretty cool, right?"

"So, what else can I tell you about myself? Hmm...oh, that's right! You already know about Lauren's 'gift,' don't you ? Yeah, my friends told me about that - and how they've all shown off what they can do with it...so I guess there's no reason for me to hide it any longer. I'm guessing you wanna see me take my head off, don't you? Well, alright, then...I guess I can show you....hmm....hey, you know how I said I was just an 'average college student?" Well...I, um...I might've lied just a bit...so, my friends Zoey and Lauren...they told you about how they can use magic, right? Well, let's just say that I've got a rather...unique...talent of my own. Yeah, I know I'm being a bit cryptic, so...here, why don't I just show you what I can do , alright?
