Tails and Fiona were at the workshop on one sunny day. Tails was fixing a device while Fiona relaxed on the couch. She felt bored and sighs.

"Tails. Aren't you gonna quit repairing and go out today?" Fiona suggested.
"I'm almost done Fiona" Tails said and adds some bolts to the device. After adjusting them he walks up to Fiona.

"So what do you wanna do?" Tails asked.
"We could go to the park" Fiona said.
"Good idea Fiona. Lets go" Tails agreed and the two foxes headed outside.

At the park, Fiona and Tails were playing game of tag. Right now Fiona was running after Tails.

"You'll never catch me!" Tails laughed.
"Oh yeah?! Watch me!" Fiona ran faster. As they ran up a hill Fiona manages to tage Tails by hitting his back.

”TAG YOU’RE IT!” Fiona ran from Tails. The two tailed fox ran after her and laughed.

”OHHH!!! Run! RUN! I’m coming for you!” Tails shouted as he ran. He then pounced onto Fiona tackling her to the grass.

”TAG!”

”Phew, that was fun” Fiona said and wipes her forehead. The two foxes rolled over beside each other and looked up to the clouds. Tails saw a cloud that looked like a cat’s head. Fiona saw a cloud that resembled a cupcake.

”Mmmmm, I could eat that” Fiona joked.

”Excuse me?” Tails asked.
”Just saw a cloud that looked like a cupcake” Fiona points at the cloud. Tails looked up and saw it.

”Yeah it does” Tails smiled. Then he saw a cloud resembling a heart.
”And that looks exactly like a heart” Tails points at it.
”Indeed” Fiona said. Eventually they got up to go somewhere else.

They went to a ice cream shop to have some delicious ice cream. Fiona had vanilla and pistachio ice cream while Tails had chocolate and mint ice cream.

”Mmm this is so good” Tails enjoyed the taste.
”You know summer is the right moment to have ice cream” Fiona said.
”Yep” Tails nods.

As they finished their ice creams, they go out again and headed to a carnival that just opened a few hours ago. They went to buy tickets for the rides and they came to a pair of laugh mirrors.

”HEHEHE Look at you!” Fiona laughed at Tails’ reflection, which made him look fat.
”Oh lord no I’ve gained weight!” Tails pretended to be shocked. He eyed Fiona’s reflection which made her look like she had a big head.

”Talking of which, you’ve a big head” Tails joked. Fiona looked at the mirror and burst out laughing.

”Oh gosh! HAHAHAHA!”

”Yeah. Lets go to the roller coaster” Tails suggested.

They got to a roller coaster named Lava ride since the tracks are fiery orange like lava and the tunnel looked like a volcano. The two took their seats in a cart.

”Ready for this?” Tails asked Fiona.
”Ready Fox boy” Fiona smirks. They fasten their seatbelts and the lap bars folds onto them.

”Counting down! Three, two, one!” The coaster guy counts down and the cart was pulled up a ramp before it zooms down with the foxes screaming in joy as the cart goes through the tracks that goes vertical and then upwards to an circle that leads them down into the volcano replica with yellow smoke emerging as they got into the crater. Inside they were gliding sideways and then in a uphill track they came back to the station after their picture was taken.

Fiona and Tails were dazed after the ride but shook themselves awake.

”Wow that was amazing!” Fiona said.
”Agreed. Now for the photo” Tails said. They go to buy their photo which showed Fiona raising her hands in the air and Tails screaming in joy.

”Well it’s worth it” Tails just shrugs. Fiona pats his shoulder.
”Yep it is” She said.

Much later, Tails and Fiona sat on the cliffs and saw the sun set at the horizon.

”It’s beautiful isn’t it?” Fiona asked Tails.
”Yes like you” Tails accidentally blurt out. Fiona looks directly at Tails in confusion.

”Sorry what did you say?” Fiona asked.
”Uh like you. Aw crud I shouldn’t have said that” Tails said in regret. Fiona scoots closer and placed her hand on Tails’.

”Tails say what it is” She pleaded. Tails took a deep breath and then said;
”Fiona, ever since before you betrayed me and the team and after you rejoined and became a good person again, I had a crush on you” Tails confessed. Hearing that and the betrayal part made Fiona cry a bit.

”You mean it?” Fiona asked.
”Yes. Since then I don’t know if there could be something between us. I’m younger than you” Tails said.

”Tails, You have grown alot and I do understand you now. And I am truly sorry over what I did to you. I always wanted my fox boy back” Fiona said.

”I have already forgiven you Fiona. It’s in the past now” Tails said. He hugged Fiona and she returned the hug.

”I love you Fiona” Tails said.
”I love you too Tails” Fiona said. The two foxes engages in a kiss with their tails hugging each other. Soon the two broke the kiss.

”Lets go home” Tails said. They both headed their way back home from the sunset.
