I'm apparantly doing a series. This was the first, which I then traced onto another piece of paper and then inked. I liked that so much I sketched it in PS and digitally colored it in faux oil style. The last one completed, however, got loaded first. So this is the second. The ink version will be last. I like them all. They're so different. And I'm apparantly head over heels, madly in love with a fictional character.For your viewing pleasure, ladies and gentlemen, Melisande Shahrizai, intellectual property of Jacqueline Carey. I merely borrowed her and returned her in like condition.

You know I think I like pencil sketch better than color, there's just so much detail, you can really tell you've put a lot of time into it

Well, doesn't that look just scream 'I own you'? It's beautiful, and exactly how I picture her. Ever thought of doing work on other Kushiel's characters? I've seen some absolutely horrid renditions about dA, but I'm positive you could do them justice.

I have at times. PhedrΓ©, fond of her though I am, I feel is overdrawn. I have often been tempted by Kushiel, Joscelin, and d'Aiglemort. But Melisande attracts my attentions so much more readily, I would happily draw her over and over and over. I should develop some willpower and resist her.
