Description Lore:

The Grand Duchy of Victorea, known as "Gran Ducado De Victiria" in Victorean, is a sovereign nation situated to the south of Nymfeia. It emerged through the initiative of local Victorean nobles, who orchestrated a secession from the collapsing Norderian Empire in the year 994 ABT. The pivotal turn came in the 15th century when the House of Drazana ascended to power. Under their leadership, Victorea gradually assimilated the surrounding principalities and duchies. However, it wasn't until the war-driven annexation of Tygatia that Victorea was formally recognized as a Grand Duchy.

Fueled by the ambitions of the Drazana rulers, Victorea engaged in frequent conflicts with its neighboring nations. These martial endeavors contributed to the development of one of the most formidable armies on the continent. Yet, it wasn't until the era of Louie Kesar Drazana in 1812 that Victorea reached its zenith. Kesar's reign ushered in a series of renowned conflicts known as the Kesaric Wars, which reshaped the nation into a military powerhouse. These wars led to the conquest of a significant portion of Nymfeia, culminating in the famous Battle of Rega where Kesar met his end. Despite his demise, Kesar's enduring legacy continued to influence Victorea's history, marked by revolutions and warfare.

The nation experienced a setback during the trenches of the 2nd Continental War, where Victorea participated in a united front against other nations as an act of revenge. This cooperative effort led them to align with the Argaians in the Greater Powers coalition. However, Victorea faced yet another defeat during the World War of 1938-1946. Distrust from much of the continent prompted an isolationist stance, which persisted until the 1990s.

During this period, a surge of high nationalism coincided with an economic resurgence, catalyzing a process of rearmament that eventually culminated in a conflict with their neighboring state, Aurdremere. The Vyberican War ensued, costing hundreds of thousands of lives as Victorea sought to establish itself as a major global player. Nonetheless, an International Coalition ultimately quashed the Victorean aspirations.

In contemporary times, Victorea has reverted to its isolationist policy. However, recent constitutional reforms and diplomatic overtures to neighboring countries suggest the possibility of a path towards reconciliation and cooperation.
