Description A Troll is a many-shaped creature in norse folklore. They can be everything from smaller than a rock, to entire mountains. They usually have the appearance of being the nature scenery, or parts of the scenery, transforming from their sleeping state as an object of nature into a living, terrifying form. Trolls are the masters of blending in with thir surroundings, having moss, rocks and even trees covering their bodies. In many tales, they are portrayed as obese and stupid. If left alone, they will harm no one, but provoked, they will fight fiercely. Trolls are also prone to abduct princesses, or challenge young men to competitions only the troll can win. In sunlight however, if the Troll does not hide, it will turn into rock.

Folklores say that upon the last battle in Jotunheimr, a troll and a Jotner rammed into each other. The impact was so hard, the sound caused the mountain to crack and the rocks to shiver. It was this impact that opened a passing through one of the many mountains in the depth of Jotunheimr, which allowed the still living riders and horses to escape the battle from the remaining Trolls. However, the horse who had rammed into the Troll, and thus killed the Troll, had the Troll's sand-like blood dripping into it's battle wounds. Fleeing with the other horses and riders, it rushed through the mountains where sunlight at the other end of the passing turned the following Trolls to stone. The Jotner blood and the Troll blood started circulating together, creating moss-like patterns on the horses coat, corrupting it's mane and tail with the same colouring, with the possibility to pass the abnormality down through generations of Jotner.
