Description Hold me like that bubble wrap
that keeps you entertained.
Wrapped up like the birds in flight;
you never hear from once again.
Hear me, like the ocean,
of a thousand stories tall;
rising from your deepest worries
smashing not a thing at all.
We never stood a chance…
Just call us happenstance.

I hope that one day
you will see,
what I do to you,
it’s what I’ve
always done to me.

Like the whisper of a forest
and the screaming of the trees
it is crashing down around us
and he watches as she leaves.
Timber couldn’t prop us up
as our fragility begins to bend,
the ocean seems so far away
but our tide comes to its end.

And all I hope,
you will see,
is what I’ve done to you
is what I’ll
always do to me.

Cracking through the bark
and burning our new bite,
the embers of our long lost cause
have nothing left to fight.
Licking at the skies above,
like the oceans towards the floor,
we burned our bridges down;
now there’s nothing I want more…

But to hope that, one day,
you will see,
that what I’ve done to us
was just a rouse;
to keep me alone and empty.
