and as promissed for those who are interested, here is some background on the lady----

Quelië was daughter of a commoner, as such her future held little status
above what an average slave might expect in the drow society. However she
was gifted with two things often favored among drow, she grew tall and
extremely beautiful and showed a talent for combat. Both things that could
be used to secure more power and status in a city of drow.

Her talent for combat got her a post as sentry at the temple, however, her
beauty was envied by many priestess. Eventually she became personal guard,
and lover to a high ranked priestess called Vanya of the house Ilêth. Then
one night the Vanya was the target of an assassination attempt, Vanya
survived, but lost one of her legs in the fight.

Vanya spend all her time looking for a way to regenerate her lost leg, and
understandable so, crippled drow usually didn't expect to live long lives.
The means she found required a freshly cut leg, along with some prepared
arcane magic she could get her house wizard to cast. Quelië became the
unfortunate source of her new legs, partly because Vanya liked her tall
legs, also she inwardly blamed Quelië for not guarding her well enough.
Why Quelië survived having cut both her legs off, she doesn't know.

Personality

Due to her past, Quelië doesn't really have the all consuming ambition so
common among drow, she is however very self confident in her own
appearance and battle powers.

Quelië haven't yet admitted and embraced her spider half to herself. As
such she will not use the abilities that it grants her (climb, bite) she
simple behaves as she was still a regular drow. She will likely deny it if
anyone faces her with the facts, in extreme cases she could either become
violent, and/or mentally break down, depending on the circumstance.

She has low respect for males, and would not allow herself to be commanded
by one. The contempt extends to males other races. This usually means that
while she can recognize and value talents that a male may process, she
would simply take it for granted.
