Tile pieces I have made put together in a scene using rpg maker xp. This is a WIP version, and will probably get scrapped once I have another updated version.

Thanks! Even though it was my first go at making some of this stuff, I wanted to use my own palette.

Thanks for the comment and fave too

Oh, wow! Lovely! The tree roots look a bit off, and maybe you should have a bit more diversity, (Maybe in flipping the trees horizontally to fool the eyes?)

VERY beautiful work, though! Is this XP? Or VX?

Unfortunately flipping the trees horizontally would throw off the shading, and in turn the perspective.

I'm making it for XP; 32x32 sized tiles.

Your comment about the roots makes me think I should try adding some grass to help better connect them to the ground.

Thanks for the comment and the fave

True. Perhaps a few different shaped trees. If you're going to be in a field full of trees, I suggest a minimum of five different trees for a good game, ten if you really want to get into it. f not, then maybe three simply to make it more eye catching.

I used to used RPG Maker XP all the time and had to used vents like crazy for layering trees. It made my computer crash once when I had too many of them. I suggest having not only that one tree, but having a whole row of several trees repeating as to not run into such a problem when in a forest maze or something.

Tis only suggestions, though. It's still very, very lovely, and I think the grass idea would be fantastic~! Just make sure you have a version of the item without the grass saved in case you make to use it in a dead or snowy landscape or something like that. =3

I don't know about ten trees, that's a bit too much >.< I have a separate leaf tile that can go on the trees to help add some variation, and even in many professional games there is only 1 type of tree per particular scene.

I will probably layer a set of trees in the tileset when I'm finished, which is what your talking about with the row of repeating trees I think.

Kay.

I'd love to make a game with you sometime. I work with pixel art as well. I'm veeery good at spriting, though I've been trying to do the eight directional and eight step ones to make the walking smoother and nicer. *Nods.*

Shall we work together? ;D

Unfortunately I'm a bit too busy for that right now.

I've got my own project I'm working on: [link] , mapping for another project, a ' pass it on' community project, and this tileset; all that I pretend like I have time to work on.

So I'm a bit too busy right now
